How Do I Install My New Lock Box?

Tony shows you step-by-step how to install your Bay Alarm Medical lock box.

Hi, I’m Tony. Warehouse technician for Bay Alarm Medical. Today we have a question from Jill from Kentucky. Jill asks, “I just got my new Bay alarm Medical lock box. How do I set it up?” That’s a good question. Let me show you how it works. First, pull open the lockbox like a door. Then look into the side with the numbers on it. You’ll see a black rubber square with a silver pin sticking through it. Now, go ahead and pull off that rubber square and set it aside.
Now, make sure the arrow underneath the silver pin is pointing upward. Now, after that you’re simply going to slide the silver pin to the right and upwards. Once it’s in place turn the lock box back around so the numbers are facing you. Now, go ahead and set those numbers to the four-digit code of your choice. You want to make sure to write down the code and keep it in a secure place where you’re sure you’re able to find it again.
After you set your code go ahead and turn the lock box back around so the silver pin is facing you again. Simply slide that silver pin back down and to the left and replace the rubber square. Now, this step is very important, you want to make sure you slide the silver pin down into the left and put the black squared back on the silver pin before you close the lock box. After the silver pin is back in place go ahead and open and close your lock box a couple of times to make sure that your code is set.
Go ahead and open your lock box back up. You can now place your spare house key in the box. Go ahead and close the lock box. You can now attach the lock box outside of your house wherever you like, whether it be door a handle, a handrail or a fence. Now, I’ll show you how to hook it on to a door. Open the lock box and take a look into the side with the silver hook on it. You’ll see a silver rectangle with an arrow next to it.
Go ahead and push that silver rectangle to the left and then pull up the silver hook. You can now take that hook and put it over the door handle and then you can push it back into place. Now, you can close your lock box, go ahead and switch the numbers around so nobody else can open it. To open it simply enter your code again.
